What an amazing experience we had with a world class videographer Edwin Heighton shooting videos and materials of all the ventum kites, boards and the excellent kite bar. Such a rewarding experience to have team riders from the Netherlands and the Dominican Republic shredding together in a beautiful setting of Buen Hombre.

Why is Buen Hombre so special?
This year we have completed 11 years in Buen Hombre and since we have been receiving kiters and learners and pro - riders and also kite brands to our beautiful spot of Buen Hombre. It is such a perfect place to shoot videos and fotos. the water is shallow and flat. And wind cranks up from 5pm and goes until 1-2 am , so it is also a perfect place to experience Full moon kiting.

Wind and climate statistic goes back to 11 years and the last 2-3 years we also have the wind meter on top of our school that gives us every minute adequate information and more so, the info from the last years is precious in showing how good the wind is in Buen Hombre and that there are considerably more windy days than in all the other kite sports in Dominican Republic. The dry conditions make Buen Hombre the best strapless kite spot in the Dominican Republic.

Buen Hombre is like no other. It is chill, does not have any toursim of Cabarete, Punta Cana and these places. I keep calling it the "End of the World..." as the road ends there on the beach. From Buen Hombre to Monte Crsiti along the beach there are no houses, no hotels, just the nature- mangroves, beaches, cliffs. Thankfully the Province of Monte Cristi has so far been able to protect the beach areas and the 60meter area from being built with hotels like in Cabarete and other areas.
So it is- Buen Hombre- "the end of the world" and our second home is in Cabarete.
We have wonderful balance between these two special places. Cabarete has the tourism and endless row of beach restuarants and bars. Buen Hombre has the colorful casetas seling the same Domincai Presidente, Bohemia and Uno beer, not so many options. :)
